Product : Cinnamon Bark Oil
Description : The volatile oil is obtained by steam distillation from the dried inner bark of the clipped cinnamon shrub, Cinnamomum cassia.
Technical Data :
1. Appearance : A yellow to red-brown liquid, with an odor of cinna-
mon and a spicy burning taste.
2. Specific Gravity ( 20? C) : 1.010 - 1.030
3. Refractive Index ( 20? C) : 1.573 - 1.591
4. Optical Rotation ( a) D : ( -2? ) - ( 0? )
5. Assay ( Aldehyde Content) : 55 - 78 ( as cinnamic aldehyde)
6. Solubility in 70% ethanol ( v/ v) : 1 : 3 clear
Storage Condition : Store in full, tight, light-resistant containers in a cool place, pro-
tected from light.
Shelf life : 2 ( two) years.
Packaging : In epoxy coated drum.
